In 1985, Nike and Michael Jordan launched Air Jordan, the first shoe model to bear the image of the greatest basketball player of all time.

Since then, Jordan has become an iconic brand, a symbol of identity, a movement and a culture ... and it celebrated its 30 year anniversary in Paris!

The contemporary art center Palais de Tokyo became the Palais 23 for one weekend. The exhibition was inaugurated by Michael Jordan himself who presented a retrospective look at the famous sneaker in a space dedicated to collectors, while visitors could relive the basketball player’s most mythical moments through animations. On the esplanade of the museum, a playground was open to all street ball enthusiasts.

On the sidelines of this event, Michael Jordan, accompanied by mayor Anne Hildalgo, inaugurated a basketball court that bears his name in the 20th district.
