To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Paris, the City Council organized many celebrations in the capital, with the highlight being a commemorative show on the square in front of the City Hall.

Designed as a giant fresco depicting the main stages of the Second World War, the show used yet unpublished footage that was broadcast through video mapping onto the building façade. There were also choreographed scenes, supported by the percussion and choir performances of the French army.
